Why might my electronics repair take an extended amount of time?
You have an archtop guitar without direct electronics access
You are requesting a complex configuration with unique components or wiring schemes

What is a bridge reset?
Typically a result of humidity or heat damage, the bridge may begin to become unglued and lift under string tension. This repair process involves ungluing and removing the bridge, establishing a new mating surface between the bridge and body, and gluing these back together tight and flush.
What is a neck reset?
Over decades, an acoustic neck angle will tend to creep upwards, causing an inability to achieve proper string action. This repair process involves ungluing and removing the neck, reestablishing the factory neck angle, and gluing everything back together so that it fits and stays tight and flush.
This repair typically requires a new saddle (and sometimes a new nut) to get the instrument back to factory configuration.
Book an appointment
I work from my home on the north side of the Medical Center. When we make an appointment, you will receive an email that includes my address. I look forward to working with you to help make your instrument the best it can be!
Do I need to bring my instrument in a case or gig bag?
Yes! I warranty the safety of your instrument and the quality of my work as long as your instrument includes a protective case of some kind. Please don’t bring your instrument uncased if you can help it.
What is your turnaround time?
You can expect most regular maintenance (setup, fret dressing, etc.) on your instrument to be completed in 1-2 weeks. Some repair processes can extend that time significantly. Completion dates are only estimates.
What forms of payment do you take and when do I pay?
I accept payment by cash, card, Cashapp, Venmo, or Zelle. Payment is due when you pick up your instrument after work is completed.
Can you give me a quote for a complex repair?
Some repairs are not apparent without a full inspection on my workbench. There’s only so much that can be explained over the phone, email, or even via photographs. An accurate repair estimate will require an inspection.
Do you work on flutes?
No.
